This will be a short week with the school outing happening this Wednesday. Therefore there will be more homework than usual so we can catch up a little and prepare for this week's unit test on Friday. Yes, there will be a tiny quiz on Friday, just with the first 20 vocabulary words of week 14, grammar (time words) and some comprehension of the story 'Antarctic Journal'  I hope the students will enjoy their time of the field trip and come prepared cool and warm clothes.  Dear parents  Test week is always a busy week for the students, and can be very stressful. So please try to help your children as much as you can but please do not give the children too much pressure, try to balance studying with some exercise and relax time. A healthy body is a healthy mind.  This week we will start a new unit in the Reading Street, 'Antarctic Journal' and will continue class as normal during the test week, but a reminder there will be no homework this week and no quiz on Friday.  I handed out a form to the students about a teacher-parents meeting. If you'd like to have a chance to talk about your child's performance or any other matter, please fill out the form and return it. The time slots will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. Select 3 different times that will suit you best and I'll allocate an available time to meet. Meeting time will only be about 15 min. If you do not wish to meet, no problem but please inform me so I am aware

Dear Grade 5 i2 Parents.  This is our review week for the second month's Tests. A reminder that tomorrow the 12th, is the listening exam. We will take the exam in the leveled classes rather than the homeroom this time.  For the Oral Tests on Thursday and Friday, I'll have the students read a small section from their Reading Street book, page 148-189 and have a few questions to follow. Please have them practice a few times by reading out loud at home. A reminder about the online homework. The students must log on to their Savvas Realize account  https://savvasrealize.com/  and complete the task by November 30. There are 5 different sections but a lot of time to try and complete it. It is almost time for the 2nd month's round of listening and written tests.
