Week 21 - Final week

 Dear parents The last week is finally here and it's almost time for winter vacation. This week we will be easing of of the work as some students have already taken leave from school. There is still another chapter to read and vocabularies to go over, but we will just touch on these and try have some fun in the class.  The student will be asked to take home their Reading Street books and their RWN books as we wont be using those in the following semester, they will be getting new books, the Reading Street 5.1. I will be collecting their science books on Wednesday as we will still be busing those in the next senester. Winter Vacation Homework   Grade 5 Winter Homework January 2024  1) Next semester the school will be taking submissions for the Xinmin Horizons magazine. Students can prepare a short essay consisting of 100 - 200 words in length. The topics that may be chosen are as follows:           1) What did you do during the                            Lunar New Year Break?

Week 19 -Test week

  Dear Grade 5i2 parents Happy New Year to everyone. I wish you all the best of luck and good fortune for the new year. As you know this week and next will be the third round of monthly tests. Starting on Wednesday the 3rd of January we'll be conducting the listening test, which is usually the easier one of the tests. We have been preparing as much as possible with our short available time, but I'm confident enough in the A2's abilities. 5th Grade 3rd Exam Test Scope – Fall, 2023 Dear Parents, The Third Monthly Exams are upon us once again. Below is the exam schedule and test scope. Please remind your child to go over vocabulary and reading stories listed in the test scope. ●         Listening Exam :  Wednesday, 1/03   ●         Oral Exam :  Thursday, 1/04, and Friday, 1/05   ●         Written Exam :  Tuesday, 1/09 LISTENING & ORAL EXAMS: ●         Vocabulary Focus : Week 15 – Week 18 (Communication Book) ●         Reading Street Stories:

Week 17

 Hi to all This week is going to be very chaotic with all of the Christmas show rehearsals. Also depending on the weather this week if it allows us to stick to our schedule. The school's decorations are all looking amazing and it is truly helping with the atmosphere here, everyone seems to be in a good festive mood.  I don't want to post a weekly schedule for this week as I've already had to change it three times and am still unsure if it will need to be changed again. This week we will just go day by day and see how much we can cover and at the same time keep the students happy. There will be a very small vocabulary quiz on Thursday the 21st, maybe a spelling test this time.  Have a good week and keep warm. Regards Tr Justin

Week 16

Dear 5i2 Parents. The week has started off smoothly with some wonderful warm weather. I've created some online games to help review the vocabulary. It will only benefit the student if they practice it.
